A gentle touch, a scent, and a space to slow down

AromaTouch is a relaxation technique that combines gentle touch with the application of essential oils. It is designed to relax, soothe, and create a space where you can slow down for a moment and turn your attention back to yourself. It is gentle and relaxing in nature. It supports and stimulates the nervous system.

When you need to slow down

AromaTouch may be a good choice during times when you need, above all, peace, relaxation, and a reconnection with your own body.

It connects:

  • a gentle and mindful touch
  • the scent of essential oils
  • a place to relax
  • slowing down and resting
  • mindful awareness of the body and the present moment

A subtle element of Presence

In Presence, AromaTouch represents the most subtle of the three levels. It complements the deeper inner work of The Journey and the physical dimension of Shiatsu by providing a space for calm, relaxation, and presence.

It is precisely through touch, scent, and sensory perception that attention can naturally shift from everyday thoughts back to the present moment.

My Journey to AromaTouch

I first encountered the AromaTouch technique about 15 years ago, when I was looking for gentle and natural ways to support my children’s health. They grew to love the gentle touch of my hands, the closeness we shared, and the scent of essential oils. It brought us moments of peace, relaxation, and a chance to pause together amid the daily hustle and bustle.

Gradually, I began using this technique with my family and friends as well. They were intrigued not only by the technique itself but often by their very first encounter with the scents of the oils, which evoked a sense of relaxation. They were curious about the effects of the gentle combination of touch and carefully selected essential oils.

Today, I’m gradually incorporating AromaTouch into my professional training and working toward the necessary certification to provide this service.
I do not currently offer AromaTouch as a standalone service. Until I complete my training, I would be happy to recommend an experienced professional if you are interested.

How AromaTouch works

approx. 45 minutes · gentle touch · doTERRA essential oils

AromaTouch is a gentle, relaxing ritual that uses a precise sequence of doTERRA essential oils. The oils are applied sequentially to the back, head, and feet using a very gentle, rhythmic touch.

This is not a massage or therapeutic pressure. The technique lasts approximately 45 minutes and creates a space to slow down, relax, and bring your attention back to your body.

I embarked on this journey because I struggled with everyday communication and talking to people, which is why I never had many friends. I was also unable, for example, to give presentations or speak in front of a large group, which limited me especially at school.

To be honest, I didn't expect much from The Journey at first, but I decided to give it a try.

I can't say that I've suddenly become a particularly outgoing or talkative person, but I've noticed a huge change. I feel much more confident in this area; I’ve finally made friends at school, and I don’t start panicking every time a stranger speaks to me. I’m so relieved that this fear of mine no longer limits me so much in life.

At first, I didn’t know what I wanted to focus on physically. I entered the process feeling stressed, with pressure in my chest, pain in my side, and a general ache as if I were carrying a heavy boulder. Gradually, themes of fear—that I wasn’t good enough and a fear of pain—began to surface within me. During the process, I felt something inside me relax, and a greater sense of peace set in.
After about a month, I noticed a significant change. I began to live at a slower pace, more calmly, and with greater perspective. I also felt that my body was stronger and healthier. The pain in my side, which I had associated with my kidney and high blood pressure, was no longer present.
Another very powerful moment for me was a memory of my brother, which brought me to tears, gave me relief, and offered a new perspective on the past.
Above all, the entire process brought me a great sense of relief, peace, and inner relaxation. I definitely recommend it.

Before The Journey, I didn't really have anything major I needed to figure out. I just wanted to give it a try, and I was curious to see what it would actually bring me. I didn’t go into it with any major theme or expectations; I just let things take their course and was open to whatever came my way.

More than anything, The Journey gave me the chance to stop and reflect. In everyday life, you’re always rushing around, dealing with work, results, and everything else, but you don’t really take the time to think about yourself. Here, I had the space to reflect on what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, and what’s more important in life. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to take a moment to look back on what they’ve been through and, at the same time, get a clearer sense of where to go from here.
